Olio Cru

Olio CRU, situated near Dolomites one of the World Heritage sites, was founded my Mario Morandini. In 2012 he was the mayor of a small town called Arco in Trentino region, north of Italy. Mario, the founder with a long family history, feels connected to the olives trees that have grown for generations. He and collaborated with friends to make part of his home into a olive field. They make their product with on of the most modern olive-press.
Olio Cru is ranked among the top 20 oil companies in the world. In 2019 it was present in Flos Olei Olive oil guide book, a book that ranks 500 excellent producers from 52 countries from all the continents.
Olive oil is produced historically in Trentino. The presence of Garda Lake helps to maintain the right temperature for olive cultivation, giving all the region an almost Mediterranean climate. Many archaeological evidences shows that olive trees were cultivated from the 2nd and 3rd century AD. It is rare to find region in which olive trees cultivation has so long historical roots.
OlioCRU's latest technologies support the production of their oils. OlioCRU olive oil mills are always at the forefront of research and development through ongoing projects and has one of the most advanced technology in Europe.
Here are some of peculiarity of the manufacturing process:
- Carefully selected olives are harvested for each variety to choose the perfect grade if ripening
- Precise cleaning and disinfection of olive-press
- Separation of the olive paste from the olive stone makes. This gives a more sweet and delicate taste to the oil.
- Oil is filtered by a high-performance process so it can be preserved for a long time.
- All the processes are conducted with no oxygen to prevent oxidation.
